Terms of Service
The terms for using Purl, the free place to save and share the links you find.
These terms cover your use of Purl, a free place to save and share the links you find. By signing in or using Purl, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Purl.
In short: Purl is free to use. Keep your account safe, don't use Purl to harm anyone, and know that it comes without guarantees. You can delete your account at any time.
Purl lets you save links, keep them in folders, share a folder, and reach your account from the app, the browser extension, the API and the MCP server. Purl is a personal tool and keeps changing: we may add, change or remove features.
- You sign in with Google or GitHub, and you must be at least 13.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account, and for keeping your API keys secret. If a key leaks, revoke it in Settings → Integrations.
- Pick a username that's yours to use, and don't impersonate anyone. We may change a username that does.
- They're yours. Purl stores each link and the details we read from its page (title, description, icon and image), not the page itself. The pages belong to their owners.
- You give us permission to store, fetch and show your links and folders as needed to run Purl for you, and to show a folder to anyone you share it with. That permission ends when you delete them or your account.
- You're responsible for what you save and share. Make a folder public only if you're happy for anyone with the link to see it, along with your name, username and profile picture.
- Break the law or anyone's rights, or share links to unlawful content, malware, phishing or scams in a public folder.
- Harass, impersonate or deceive other people.
- Overload, probe or attack Purl, or use it to reach other people's systems. That includes trying to make Purl fetch private or internal addresses.
- Get around Purl's limits, or scrape it.
- Share your account or API keys, or sell access to Purl.
Each account can save up to 1,000 links and create up to 100 folders, and the API and MCP server limit how many requests you can make a minute. The current limits are on the API and MCP pages. We may change them.
Your links lead to sites we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, whether they stay online, or how they treat your data, and you visit them at your own risk.
Apps and assistants you connect through MCP or the API act with your permission and can read and change your links and folders. You're responsible for what you allow. Disconnect them in Settings → Integrations whenever you like.
We try to keep Purl running, but we don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or unchanged. We may change, pause or end Purl. If we end it, we'll aim to give you notice and time to export your links with the API.
You can stop at any time: choose Delete account in Settings → Account, which deletes your links and folders too. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or harms other people or Purl, and we'll say why when we can.
Purl is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost links or data, so keep your own copy of anything important. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be excluded.
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and if the change matters we'll tell you in Purl. If you keep using Purl after a change, you accept it.
How we handle your data is explained on the Privacy Policy page.
